Use a mister to blend the ink together.
Allow the watercolor paper to dry completely.
Stamp bird with dye ink.
Fussy cut out.

Apply more of the ink from the distress pens using paint brush to help shade and highlight areas of the bird.
Allow the bird to dry.

Adhere metal band to the bottom of the tag.
Adhere border strips over the top.

Apply I Love You to edge of needle book with Crackle Texture Paste.

Apply distress markers on watercolor paper with a paint brush.
Use a mister to blend the ink together.
Allow the watercolor paper to dry completely.

Stamp bird with dye ink.
Fussy cut out.

Apply more of the ink from the distress pens using paint brush to help shade and highlight areas of the bird. Allow the bird to dry.

Add bird to front on needle book.
Adhere borders and journal piece to front.

Add latch to top of needle book.

Valentine's is NOT in the Air

We are dedicating this one to the Singles, broken hearted, lonely

or cynical (like me and my husband).

Don't get me wrong. I love feeling loved and showing others that I love them, I just find Valentine's Day can sometimes create more hurt then love and costs way too much money.

So let us inspire you to show case your best examples of hearts "undone", (not the typical lovey romance style), use reds or grays and create something spectacular.

We open the show with Karon She has out done herself again with this wonderful set. I lover her use of the blossoms and hearts.

While you're scoping things out also take a special moment to wish Karon well. She will be leaving our team after this post for some quality family time. She will be back on occasion as a guest, and will continue to maintain her blog with her astonishing creations.

Next up, Cathy. (beware I make up grammar and words for this one) I am freaking loving it when people do something unexpected. Cathy created amaziness with, what I refer to as, the starfruit book. then she used the heart brads in a way I never would have thought of. What the....awesome unvalentine!

Shilpa, Shilpa, Shilpa you continue to amaze me. I seriously can't get over how she evolved the daintiest, frilly stamp (heart and flowers) to make this smashed art. It is brilliant.

Julia, mmmm, the wonderful expression of a divine love affair with coffee. Check out the use of the coffee beans in a charm. Yummy Comfort!

Diana leads our encouragement self worth and by using this magnificent canvas to remind everyone to remember who they are and to be proud of it. I just love the wings!

Katelyn bravely shares with us her own personal growth and development to remind us that we need to love and appreciate ourselves.  I loved the subtle background texture she created and I cherish her work with this piece because it evolved from the heart.

Claudia is just phenomenal with her nailed heart. I can't even express how excited I was about sharing this piece and I am so speechless with what Claudia created.
I have been so impressed with the team. I knew this could be tough but with all of these creations and inspirations, now...
We dare you to join the fun and create your own piece using hearts in a new way, reds, grays or all of the above.

Congratulations to Julie of Juliz Design Post,  winner of the We are on our way.... Dare.

We are on our way.......

Please come and join us for the NEW adventure.

First we want to say Happy New Year! We hope you had an awesome wrap up to 2015. Thank you so much for considering us last year as one of your blogs to follow, companies to support and mostly for participating in the challenges. We have been thrilled and simply tickled pink by what you have shared with us.

We kick off the year with the CHA 2016 Mega Show in Anaheim! What? Shut up. This is NEW news right?! Hardly. Nicole and I are probably starting to drive you completely nuts.

So with out further delay and suspense, here are the the NEW products and the design teams simply gorgeous takes on everything.

Katelyn boxes it up with this stunning pond box, featuring the playfully swimming Koi, in the Upstream collection and the beautiful cherry blossoms of the Fallen Blossom Collection. Both feature our First Iconic Designer, Nicole Wright.

Claudia's haiku was so amazing, and to me really showed her ability to stretch beyond her own language of German.

Karon traps a warm feeling of love and spring inside her book box.

Cathy's mom will always be remembered by her inspiring scrapbook pages.

Diana inspires us to never be dull or afraid to stand out

Shilpa takes the beach to a bright and cheerful place with so much texture!

Julia experimented with a bendy card and created a dynamic 3D fish pond effect. I just love it.

Now its your turn, we want to see what you are making with your NEW Christmas presents, NEW purchases, NEW techniques, NEW CHA stuff even if you are one of the lucky few to have yours right away.

Congratulations to Kerstin of Scrapbook Dreams ,  winner of the Wishing you a Merry Christmas Dare.

Kerstin please email Kim at admin@emeraldcreek.ca for your prize code.
