Adventure Awaits - with #3 of the 40 to 40

Image
I am so excited to help promote
Wild Whisper,
the newest company I know on the Craft market.

Heather & Suzy are amazingly talented and inspired, having personally designed all of these pages I am about to use. It takes a lot of courage, energy and effort to design, invest and launch yourself into this creative market. So please take a moment with me to say,

Congratulations Ladies!

To start my project, I opened everything up and stared at it at length waiting for the inspirations.

The double sided 12x12 Adventure Pages are a wonderful heavy weight and are unique because they are lightly coated to maximize the play time and blend-ability of ink and paint.

The recipe & mini Cards are perfect for adding a layer or a pocket.

So now that I have picked my cards and paper and its time to begin.

I cut the word strips from 2 of the pages and I grabbed the card with the bears.
(I LOVE THE BEARS)

Then I played with the postcard on top or making a plaid frame. the frame won! perfection

Thanksgiving is a holiday, that although is very important in the United States, seems to be somewhat neglected from a creative viewpoint. Since I don't get to see all of my family on this special day, I send out special cards to those I won't be visiting. I used seven different embossing powders to make my leaves extra colorful, since this card's destination is a place that gets no fall foliage color.

The first snow of the season has already fallen near Vienna and you can already smell winter in the air - so I was inspired to get out the fab Emerald Creek Fractured Ice and Winter's Mistake embossing powders and some of their charming embellishments and create an enchant…

Ellie Knol,

one of the artists that sells images & designs to Emerald Creek.

I met Ellie through DT member Shilpa, who I can never thank enough. I was looking for some help to update the stamp catalogue and as soon as I saw her collection, I knew we were going to work together.

Here is the first creation Ellie made with the Christmas Polka stamp.

Please pop over to her blog, Paper Stamps, Color and tell her how awesome she is.

Deb

It was with gratitude and thanks that I made my Grateful Remembrance card in honour of all who have fallen and all who have served.  I made a replica of the poppy lapel pin that all Canadians wear with pride on Remembrance Day to include on my card and plan to leave this card at the Cenotaph on November 11th as a small token of my deep felt thanks to all our soldiers past, present and future.  I've a few step out photos on my blog, hope you can stop by.
