YAY,  Niki is back!

I knew I needed Niki to guest post for Halloween, because when I think Halloween, I think Niki and Pawsitively Creative.

Check out her Spook-tacular Creation!

Niki's use of embossing powder over all of the fencing created the perfect aging. And check out the use of embossing powder on the pumpkin. Genius!

Niki also featured 2 of the New Charms - The Bat and my new favourite, the Rose.

40 to 40 #2 - Let it Snow

This Monochromatic Card is one of my favourites.

Over the years it has evolved; the images and text have changed, the size has been altered and the number of mats have increased and decreased. But this is so easy and has a stunning impact.

So let's get started.

I started with 1/4 of an 8.5" x 11" Arctic White  100lb cardstock.

Stamped the Moose where I wanted so I could build a scene around him.

I used the Take 1Summer CampEx-Stream and Large Circle stamps.

for the Take 1, I inked the image once and stamped twice, with the second image higher and offset.

I used the Summer Camp and Large Round stamp to stamp the image and then create a mirror and re-stamp the flipped image. to do this use a permanent ink and stamp Summer Camp onto the circle, then, while the ink is wet, flip the circle to stamp the card stock. (Practice first, it may take a couple of tries to get the hang of it but once you do, creating mirror images will be easy).

Now that your image is ready grab yo…

Falling into Celebration - Part 2

Well, October is halfway done and with 3 awesome celebrations this month, Canadian Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Diwali (the exciting and gorgeous Festival of Lights), there are so many creations to share.

So let's check out what the team cooked up mid-month to help you create some more inspired projects for your chance to win $50.00 in the Emerald Creek Shop.

Ahhh, triple digits are gone so it must be Fall in Arizona.  I live right near Phoenix, so no changing leaves for me.  I grew up in Massachusetts and I think that's why Fall is my favorite season.  I don't know why but Autumn always makes me reflect on what I have and what I am thankful for.  This little wreath reminds me that there is something to appreciate every day.

Fall is one of my favourite seasons, but for this challenge these products were just calling to me! I had a lot of fun trying to incorporate the "Festival of Lights" theme into my card by using the sparking blue brads, stars, and t…

Falling into Celebration

Today, we have so much to look forward to.

This month has us celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. We have the colours of fall surrounding us, and Diwali and Halloween on the near horizon. So bring your best colours, embellishments, and lights to brighten up this month's Dare challenge incorporating the colours of fall, the celebration of the lights in honour of Diwali, or you creepiest/funniest (LOL) Halloween tricks and magic.

Before we head off to see the projects, I must apologize. If you have been following the Emerald Creek Tour of tradeshows, you will understand why I confused all of my teamies and this blog post. It was set to end on the 30th in some of what I had done, BUT, (insert embarrassed, shy shrug) I may have forgotten to tell my team. So, I am chalking in up to brain dead fun and exhaustion. Thank you all for understanding and ENJOY all of the delights the team has shared.
